Solstad Offshore Reports USD62M Normand Valiant Contract
Solstad Offshore ASA announced a two-year contract with Petrobras for the Normand Valiant to provide accommodation services on the Brazilian continental shelf, starting in the fourth quarter of 2026 in direct continuation of the current agreement and subsequent class renewal. The vessel, with a 120-person capacity and a walk-to-work gangway, will operate on a bareboat charter from SOMA to SOFF, the contract holder with Petrobras. The gross contract value is approximately USD 62 million. The deal reinforces Solstad’s footprint in Brazil and aims to generate stable revenue for both Solstad Offshore and its partly owned affiliate Solstad Maritime. By leveraging its ownership structure, Solstad Offshore seeks to optimize operational control and earnings exposure in a key growth region for offshore oil and gas activities.
