Minneapolis hosts Annunciation Remembrance Day

Minneapolis is hosting a day of service at Pearl Park on Aug. 27 to honor the Annunciation community, with volunteers planting, assembling care kits for youth experiencing homelessness, and collecting school supplies for local students, led by local lawmakers and school and city officials. The Annunciation church will mark the remembrance by encouraging bells to ring at 8:26 a.m. and residents to display candles, framing a healing effort around the theme 'Guide Our Feet Into the Way of Peace' while requesting privacy for ongoing healing processes. Separately, a Frederick store is celebrating its one-year anniversary with family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon entertainers, free snow cones, and a new Critter Club that will host scavenger hunts and prizes. In North Little Rock, Carolyn S. and Kip A. Moore celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, and Margaret Mary and Richard Kent Pursell marked 50 years of marriage, each with family milestones noted in the local notices. Taken together, the items reflect a blend of civic remembrance, community service, local commerce celebrations, and longtime family milestones within their communities.
