Gatik secures $200M Series D for driverless freight
Gatik has raised $200 million in a Series D led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest and Intact Private Capital, among others. The funding follows a multi-year commercial agreement with PepsiCo and signals a pivot from pilots to large-scale, driverless commercial deliveries. The company has already booked more than $600 million in contracted revenue and operates fully driverless routes across multiple states and in Canada, delivering for major retailers and food companies. Gatik specializes in middle-mile transportation using autonomous Class 6 and 7 box trucks to move goods between distribution centers and stores, with plans to expand high-frequency regional networks. The client roster includes Walmart, Loblaw and PepsiCo, highlighting growing adoption among Fortune 50 retailers and large consumer packaged goods brands. The new capital is earmarked to accelerate scale, expanding fleets and city coverage beyond current pilots.
