Florida HVAC worker charged after kicking customer's dog

A Florida HVAC technician, Richardson Noel, 43, was arrested on aggravated animal cruelty charges after a Furbo dog-treat dispenser camera captured him kicking a small 5-pound Chihuahua named Boomer inside a Sanford home, leaving the dog unconscious for a significant period. The incident occurred while Noel was performing an A/C service, and the video reportedly shows him entering the living area through a sliding door and kicking Boomer, with the dog later found to have no broken bones but possible internal bruising. Boomer’s owner, Ryan Menzies, said veterinarians found no fractures and that the dog is recovering at home, eating treats and becoming playful again, though the family remains cautious about future visits from service workers. Noel was fired by his employer, ELDante HVAC Services, which apologized publicly for the distress caused to Boomer and his family. Sanford Police Chief Cecil Smith described the act as deeply disturbing and noted the video’s portrayal of callousness, while investigators continue to pursue any additional information. The case has drawn attention to in-home service visits and the use of camera footage to document alleged abuse.
