Finchem, Wife Donate $13 Million to Tour Charities

Tim Finchem and his wife Holly have donated $13 million to PGA Tour Charities to launch an evolved, national-charity strategy as part of the PGA Tour’s broader shift toward a for-profit, enterprise-based model. The gift is intended to bolster a more centralized philanthropic platform focused on themes such as health, youth, access, and service, while allowing individual tournaments to continue their local charitable programs. The Tour plans to coordinate campaigns across events, aiming to increase resources and visibility and to pair with players’ direction through the Player Advisory Council. Officials say the PGA Tour’s charitable giving has surpassed $4.4 billion since its charitable work began, with a view to maintaining impact amid organizational changes, including moves toward PGA Tour Enterprises. The initiative will unfold ahead of 2027 events and formal debut of the revamped PGA Tour Charities in 2028, with leadership from Laura Neal and input from players like Lucas Glover.
