Exelon Plans Major Executive Leadership Shakeup
Exelon announced a broad reshaping of its executive ranks, including the planned departure of COO Mike Innocenzo in 2027 as part of a leadership transition to preserve operational continuity. Jeanne Jones will become Executive Vice President of Finance and Strategy on October 5, 2026, consolidating corporate strategy with finance, while Robert Kleczynski will be elevated to Chief Financial Officer and principal financial officer, and Caroline Fulginiti will become Controller and principal accounting officer. In 2027, Josh Levin of ComEd is slated to move to Exelon as Senior Vice President of Finance, with Andrew Plenge becoming ComEd’s Chief Financial Officer on January 1, 2027. Exelon reaffirmed its 2026 adjusted operating earnings guidance of $2.81-$2.91 per share and projected mid-to-high single-digit long-term earnings growth through 2029, signaling confidence in the new leadership structure. The reorganizations emphasize strengthened internal leadership in finance and operations to support ongoing grid investments, reliability, and resilience for customers and communities. Innocenzo’s decades-long tenure spans PECO and Exelon, with leadership roles in metering, smart grid deployment, and corporate operations before serving as COO and interim PECO CEO.
