Several major film properties are lined up for staggered streaming debuts under Universal and Sony’s 120-day theatrical window deal: Violent Night 2 debuts December 4 with a new cast and a refreshed premise, and after its theatrical run it will move to Peacock for four months and then Netflix for ten months before returning to Peacock. Spielberg’s Disclosure Day, though a box-office performer with mixed reception, follows the same 120-day window to Peacock and a subsequent Netflix window under the pact. The romcom One Night Only also adheres to the same release pattern, hitting Peacock for four months and Netflix for ten months after a 120-day theatrical window. Shrek 5 is slated for a June 30, 2027 release with the same streaming cadence, sending the film to Peacock and later Netflix for the defined periods. Jumanji: Open World will open in theaters on December 25 and is expected to follow Sony’s Pay-1 Netflix arrangement, leading to a Netflix debut roughly 120 days post-release before returning to Peacock. These windows illustrate a consistent framework for when new releases migrate from theaters to streaming platforms.
