Dan Stevens Cast as RoboCop in Prime Video

Dan Stevens has been cast as Alex Murphy and his RoboCop alter ego for Prime Video’s eight-episode series, continuing MGM and Blumhouse Atomic Monster’s long‑gestating RoboCop reboot. The series is led by showrunner Peter Ocko, with executive producers James Wan, Michael Clear, Rob Hackett, and, per new details, original writers Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner. The project remains a contemporary take on the 1987 Verhoeven film, exploring technology, identity, and corporate power through a giant tech conglomerate pushing a robot police force. This RoboCop revival is part of Amazon MGM Studios’ broader push to develop MGM properties for Prime Video, following Amazon's 2022 acquisition of MGM. Production and release details are forthcoming, with eight episodes planned and development moving quickly. No premiere date has been announced.
