Elanco Expansion Quadruples Capacity, Adds 70 Jobs at Elwood Facility
Elanco Animal Health completed a major expansion and renovation of its Elwood, Kansas facility, adding 25,000 square feet and upgrading production capabilities. The expansion, a $130 million investment with potential to reach over $150 million in total, quadruples production capacity and includes a new pilot plant and an Advanced Quality Control Lab. The facility now employs more than 200 people, with Elanco planning to add about 70 jobs as capabilities grow. The expansion bolsters Elanco’s monoclonal antibody portfolio, including treatments for canine parvovirus and itchy dogs, distributed to thousands of clinics across the country. Officials and community members attended a ribbon-cutting to mark the milestone. Elwood’s expanded footprint positions the site as a manufacturing hub for next-generation animal health products.
