Cavan Sullivan youngest MLS contributor in four straight

Cavan Sullivan, a 16-year-old American with Bangladesh origins, became MLS’s youngest player to contribute to a goal in four straight matches after scoring in the Philadelphia Union’s 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls, extending their unbeaten run to seven. The goal, his third of the season, followed an earlier debut at 14 years old making him the youngest MLS player to appear in the league. Sullivan is also the third under-18 player in MLS history to have a goal or assist in four consecutive matches, joining Ricardo Pepi and Diego Fagundez. Through 20 appearances this season, he has three goals and seven assists, tying a record for the most goal contributions by a player aged 16 or younger in a single MLS season.
