Bronstein Firm Files Securities Suits Across Multiple Companies
Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman (BGG) announced multiple class-action lawsuits filed on behalf of investors against Wise Group plc, Pentwater Capital Management and Avis Budget Group, ARS Pharmaceuticals, Replimune Group, and Alarum Technologies. The plaintiffs allege violations of federal securities laws due to material misstatements and failures to disclose adverse facts during specific class periods. The Wise suit claims the company understated regulatory risks related to anti-money-laundering controls ahead of its NASDAQ debut, rendering its statements misleading. In the Avis case, Pentwater allegedly held about 51% of Avis shares and engaged in aggressive stock purchases and short squeezes that inflated the stock price and enriched Pentwater. The ARS suit alleges overpromising on insurance coverage timelines and the release of an early, limited data set that undermined the BLA prospects, while the Replimune action cites FDA-related study-design concerns and a small, unrepresentative data set that could lead to a BLA rejection. The Alarum case centers on NetNut’s alleged illicit activity linking customer devices to another network, heightening legal exposure and threatening business prospects.
