Former President Donald Trump posted a joke photo portraying himself as Speaker of the House.
The former president took to Truth Social on Thursday evening to post a photoshopped photo of himself as the speaker during President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) voted for Trump as House speaker on multiple ballots.
Gaetz has not held back his feelings toward McCarthy, questioning this week “how long” McCarthy will stay in the House speaker’s office “before he is considered a squatter.”
The Florida Republican is among several other Republicans who have opposed McCarthy’s effort to win the speaker’s race.
Trump expressed his support for McCarthy earlier this week in his bid for speaker, as IJR reported.
In a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, the former president wrote: “REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT EMBARRASSING DEFEAT. IT’S TIME TO CELEBRATE, YOU DESERVE IT. Kevin McCarthy will do a good job, and maybe even a GREAT JOB – JUST WATCH!”
And later Wednesday, he also expressed his support for Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), but not as House speaker.
“He will have his day, and it will be a big one, but not now!” Trump wrote.
Donalds was nominated as House speaker this week. Additionally, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) was nominated by Democrats.
Within three days, there have been 11 votes in the speaker’s race, as of Friday morning. Per Fox News, McCarthy “may finally have a viable path to becoming the next House speaker.”
Fox News reports “a written framework for rules in the 118th Congress was released on Thursday” and it “gives members of the House Freedom Caucus (HFC) who have been resisting McCarthy virtually everything they’ve been asking for.”
“He can only afford to lose four GOP votes, and if he wins the gavel, he will likely do so with the bare minimum 218 votes,” as the outlet also notes.
