The audience and co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” were in a celebratory mood amid the news one of Fox News’ top-rated hosts is leaving the network.
On Monday, Whoopi Goldberg read a statement from Fox News revealing Tucker Carlson has “agreed to part ways” with the network.
Members of the audience could be heard cheering and applauding.
“Wave,” she added.
Meanwhile, co-host Ana Navarro sang a brief rendition of Steam’s “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.”
The audience also chimed in.

Co-host Sunny Hostin insisted, “He is responsible for the degradation that we see, somewhat, of our democracy in this country. And I just think as a faithful person, look at God.”
Conservative co-host Alyssa Farah-Griffin also added, “He’s been the biggest purveyor of pro-Russia talking points. So it’s a good day for the Ukrainian people.”
In a shocking statement on Monday, Fox News said, “FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor. Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st.”
“Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named,” it continued.
The decision appeared to be rather abrupt as Carlson told his viewers at the end of his show on Friday, “We’ll be back on Monday. In the meantime, have the best weekend ever with the ones that you love, and we’ll see you then.”
Carlson’s show repeatedly drew the highest ratings of cable news programming.
The news came days after Fox News agreed to settle Dominion Voting System’s defamation lawsuit against it for $787.5 million.
Dan Bongino, who hosted a weekend show on the network and a show on its streaming service, also revealed last week he was parting ways with the company.
