Actress Lucy Davis has revealed that she has been battling Stage 4 Breast cancer for roughly a year and a half, sharing that the disease has spread to her spine, right hip, and ribs.

According to Fox News, Davis, best known for her role as Dawn Tinsley in the original British version of "The Office," said her cancer is now considered incurable and that chemotherapy is no longer an option.

The actress said her diagnosis began with a small change that she nearly dismissed.

"The initial lump that I felt, wasn’t a ‘lump’ as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny," she wrote on Instagram.

Davis said she almost decided not to have the spot examined, a decision she now views differently.

"I almost didn’t bother getting it checked. So I guess I’m saying don’t ignore anything – get everything checked out," she wrote.

While acknowledging the seriousness of her condition, Davis said she is trying to focus on making the most of the time ahead rather than allowing her prognosis to define her.

"As of now, I’m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can," she said, adding that she has found lessons and gratitude through the experience.

The illness has also taken a physical toll. Davis said pain can make standing and walking difficult and that she sometimes relies on a wheelchair.

Despite those challenges, Davis said she is not frightened by what may come next.

"I’m not scared of whatever comes next," she wrote. "I’m at peace with it."

Davis also made clear that she intends to continue working and supporting causes that matter to her. Animal rights remains particularly important to her, while Acting continues to be one of the great joys of her life.

Her career began in the 1990s, including a role in the BBC's 1995 adaptation of "Pride and Prejudice."

She became widely known for playing receptionist Dawn Tinsley in the original British "The Office," which ran from 2001 to 2003.

Davis later appeared in projects including "Shaun of the Dead," "Wonder Woman," "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" and "The Villains of Valley View."

Her latest message combined a deeply personal health update with a warning for others: Even a seemingly minor physical change can be worth getting checked.
