Linda Blair says she and the animals at her Southern California rescue are safe after county authorities searched her property as part of an ongoing investigation into a reported kennel operation housing more than 100 dogs.
The 67-year-old "The Exorcist" actress addressed the situation in an Instagram post after Los Angeles County officials executed an inspection warrant Friday, per Fox News.
According to People, the operation involved the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control and the Department of Regional Planning.
Officials said the inspection was intended to assess the animals' welfare and determine whether the property complies with county regulations.
Blair reassured supporters that there were no concerns about the animals' well-being.
"Checking in, I'm good. The animals are good," Blair wrote, adding that the visit came as a surprise during extreme heat while her team was busy rescuing abandoned animals.
She said the visit resulted in paperwork requirements and updated property diagrams rather than concerns about the rescue itself.
