Stephanie Grisham has filed a restraining order against Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio).

Grisham, who served as communications director for President Donald Trump in his first term, dated Miller in 2019 and 2020.

“Today we filed for a Temporary Restraining Order against Cong. Max Miller (R-OH) on behalf of former Trump Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham,” her attorney Mark S. Zaid posted Monday.

Grisham’s lawsuit stems from an op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post in 2021 when she described an abusive relationship with a man who she did not name.

Miller sued Grisham for defamation after the op-ed was published. Miller eventually dropped the lawsuit. The former couple signed a nondisclosure agreement that stated neither would publicly disparage the another.

Grisham then sued Miller in July when she alleged Miller broke the agreement by making remarks lduring a June 5

interview

with Spectrum News.

“Without question, every allegation should be taken seriously,” Miller said during the interview. “What should be noted is that allegation came out on the same day as somebody’s book launch. And the other part, what I would like to discuss, is my ex-wife was with me every single day during that time of my life in that election, and she, in her own words, will tell you that I never did any of those things.”

This is the latest in events in which people are calling for Miller to step down.

His ex-wife Emily Moreno, who is the daughter of Sen. Berine Moreno (R-Ohio), accused him of physical and emotional abuse.

Emily Moreno alleges Miller pointed a gun at her head, threw scalding hot water at her and pushed her into a wall. He also allegedly fractured their 2-year-old daughter’s collarbone.

Miller denies the accusations.

Axios reported Monday that Trump phoned Miller about his concern for the lawmaker’s reelection bid, stating that “things aren’t looking good.”
