A House Republicans continue their probe into allegations of influencing peddling by President Joe Biden’s family, one Democrat decided to take a new approach to criticize the hearing.
On Wednesday, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) was seen sporting a mask designed to be in the likeness of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the hearing.
Democrats have accused Republicans of being duped by Russian propaganda involving corruption allegations against the Bidens.
Those allegations received a boost after Alexander Smirnov, an FBI informant with links to Russian intelligence, was arrested for lying to the FBI about a supposed multi-million bribery scheme involving Joe Biden.
When asked why Moskowitz decided to wear his mask, he responded sarcastically speaking as though he was Putin, saying, “I just came to thank James Comer for taking all of our intelligence and using it in committee.”
“Maybe he can come see the technology in our grocery stores,” he quipped.
Moskowitz has previously had some contentious moments with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.).
During a hearing in November, Comer said Moskowitz looked like a “Smurf” while he was criticizing allegations against the Bidens.
