A coffee company that previously faced backlash has issued a Recall over certain Food products over fears they may contain “small stones.”
Costa Coffee, a popular coffee chain in the United Kingdom, issued a Recall over several wraps and sandwiches, warning the products were “unsafe to eat,” according to a press release from the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
“Costa is recalling several sandwich and wrap products because they may contain small stones,” the press release said. “This may present a choking hazard and are unsafe to eat.”
Costa’s chicken & bacon Caesar wrap, southern fried chicken wrap, chicken salad sandwich, and BLT sandwich were the products the company recalled.
“If you have bought the above products, do not eat them,” the press release said. “Instead, return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.”
The company faced criticism at the beginning of August after revealing an advertisement appearing to show a girl who had scars in the place where her breasts should be. Costa was accused of “promoting the mutilation of healthy young girls.”
