‘Bless Her Heart’: Mike Johnson Knocks MTG, Says She Is Not ‘Proving to Be’ a ‘Serious Lawmaker’

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is dismissing the idea of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) as a “serious” lawmaker.

NewsNation’s Blake Burman, moderator of “The Hill,” brought up the Georgia congresswoman with Johnson, saying, “👤Marjorie Taylor Greene, no fan of yours.”

“Bless her heart,” the speaker responded.

Burman asked, “Is she a serious lawmaker?”

“I don’t think she’s proving to be, no,” Johnson answered. “I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about her, I gotta do my job.”

The exchange comes as Greene is vowing to force a vote to oust Johnson as speaker after the approved foreign aid packages.

On Wednesday, she vowed to call for a vote to oust him next week, as top House Democrats said they would vote to table the motion.

The Georgia congresswoman said she would “want to see that happen. I want a recorded vote.”

“I can’t wait to see Democrats go out and support a Republican speaker and have to go home to their primaries, and have to run for 🏛️Congress again having supported a Republican speaker,” she continued before adding with air quotes, “A Christian conservative.”

She added, “I think that will play well, I’m excited about it.”
