Biden Claims He Was at Ground Zero the ‘Next Day’ After 9/11 – Then His Own Words Come Back to Haunt Him

President Joe Biden says a lot of things — a lot.

But on Monday, he really outdid himself as he spoke on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks during a stop in Alaska.

“I join you on this solemn day to renew our sacred vow: never forget. Never forget. We never forget. Each of us – each of those precious lives stolen too soon when evil attacked,” Biden said.

He added, “Ground Zero in New York – I remember standing there the next day, and looking at the building. And I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell, it looked so devastating because of the way – from where you could stand.”

Of course, it did not take long for the usual course of events to play out when Biden tells a revisionist story.

As it turns out, Biden was not at Ground Zero in New York City on Sept. 12, 2001.

He was apparently speaking about his visit to the site of the attack nine days afterward. And CNN published a fact-check of his claim.

According to the network, the White House provided a picture of Biden at Ground Zero on Sept. 20, 2001. An official under the condition of anonymity, for some reason, told CNN, “The President first visited the World Trade Center nine days after the September 11 terrorist attacks as part of a bipartisan delegation from the Senate.”

Why they wanted to remain anonymous when the president just lied or mistakenly believed he was staring at the burning rubble the day after is unclear.

But it gets worse for Biden. According to the New York Post, in his 2007 memoir, he stated he returned to the Capitol the “next morning” after the 9/11 attacks. And he spoke in the Senate that day.

As if the situation was bad enough, this happened while he was delivering remarks in Alaska. And no disrespect to the people of Alaska, but as we all know, it had nothing to do with 9/11. Why was he there instead of one of the memorial sites?

The White House made a bizarre analogy in defending the decision by noting presidents were “not still going to visit Hawaii” 22 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

The stop in Alaska came as he was returning from the G-20 meeting and a trip to Vietnam. But just like Christmas, 9/11 comes along at the same time every year. It’s not a surprise. And it is a day when Americans still go the sites of the terrorist attacks to honor those who lost their lives and the sacrifices made. It is still a big deal to a lot of people in this country — especially for New Yorkers.

So here we have Biden either falsely believing what he said or just lying in Alaska because the White House decided a trip to Vietnam and having a disastrous press conference was more important to America than showing up at one of the memorials. Not a good look.
