Walter Kieber

Walter Kieber (20 February 1931 – 21 June 2014) was a political figure from Liechtenstein who served as Prime Minister of Liechtenstein from 1974 to 1978. Early career In 1955 Kieber joined the law firm Marxer & Partner Rechtsanwälte as a partner run by Ludwig Marxer. Upon his death in 1962 he along with partner Adulf Peter Goop and Ludwig's son Peter Marxer took over the firm. They oversaw the expansion of the firm into the largest law firm Liechtenstein. Prime Minister of Liechtenstein Kieber was the Deputy Prime Minister of Liechtenstein from 1970 to 1974 under Alfred Hilbe and the Prime Minister of Liechtenstein from 1974 to 1978, and again Deputy Prime Minister from 1978 to 1980 under Hans Brunhart. He belonged to the Progressive Citizens' Party.
