Ecolab was rated high risk because it has adopted race and identity-based policies and philanthropic practices that prioritize preferential treatment over merit, along with governance and advocacy actions seen as politically motivated. Its combination of weak employment protections, discriminatory giving practices, and politically driven corporate governance contributed to high scores across most rating categories.
