Former UAF President Pavelko Detained in Slovakia
Andriy Pavelko, the former president of Ukraine’s Football Federation, has been detained in Bratislava on allegations of siphoning about 295 million hryvnias from the federation through sham contracts for goods like seafood, tea, coffee, and electrical equipment. Extradition proceedings have been launched, with Ukrainian authorities crediting international cooperation for his capture after years on the run, as investigations continue to repatriate funds and hold him to account.
