IOC declines to investigate Infantino over Trump allegations

The IOC said it will not investigate FIFA President Gianni Infantino over alleged breaches of political neutrality, noting that such complaints concern the autonomous governance of international federations and fall outside the ethics commission’s jurisdiction. FairSquare had raised the issue in multiple filings, including references to Trump’s involvement in reviewing Balogun’s suspension, but the IOC reaffirmed its stance that IFRs govern themselves and that the complaint is outside its remit.
