LaPorta Cleared for Camp; Pro Bowl Honors

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has been fully cleared for training camp after back surgery, with plans to participate fully and serve as a key pass-catching cog this season. He finished 2025 with 40 receptions for 489 yards and three touchdowns in nine games and is entering the final year of his rookie contract as he heads toward free agency.
