Yankees beat Orioles 3-1 as Grisham drives three
Trent Grisham homered and drove in all three Yankees runs with a go-ahead two-run single as New York defeated the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 in Camden Yards. Yerry De los Santos worked two scoreless innings in relief, and Carlos Rodón returned from a lengthy injury layoff to start, allowing a solo homer to Coby Mayo over four innings. The Yankees bullpen, including Brent Headrick, Fernando Cruz, Paul Blackburn and David Bednar, finished a four-hitter with Bednar earning his 28th save. Orioles starter Shane Baz struck out a season-high 10 over 6 1/3 innings but was charged with the three New York runs. Grisham has been heating up recently, boosting his season numbers to a .224/.313/.426 line while delivering multi-RBI games in a tight stretch. The win keeps New York’s momentum in the wild-card chase as it extended their success against Baltimore this season.
