Xbox PC backward compatibility expands to Windows 11
Microsoft is launching an early release program to bring four original Xbox titles—Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy—to Windows 11 PCs and supported handhelds, including the ROG Xbox Ally X. The games will cost $9.99 each (with Fuzion Frenzy often discounted) or be available via Xbox Game Pass, and ownership on console carries over to PC and handheld play. They will run natively on PC with enhancements such as up to 4x resolution scaling, VSync, multiple display modes, anisotropic filtering, and improved anti-aliasing, with Achievements planned for release in coming months. System requirements are modest, requiring Windows 11 and GPUs like GTX 950 or RX 550, enabling installation on many modern PCs and some laptops. Microsoft frames this as part of game preservation and expanding access across platforms, and notes more titles will follow under strategies tied to Project Helix that seek to blend Xbox and PC ecosystems.
