Deputies use ‘Grappler’ to stop reckless driver on SR 503 in Battle Ground

A reckless driver suffering from a “significant mental health crisis” on Washington State Route 503 was stopped by Clark County deputies using a “Grappler” this week, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies said the SUV was seen going more than 80 miles per hour, driving the wrong way, allegedly forced multiple cars off the road and caused several crashes. The driver was taken into custody and then transferred to a hospital for a mental health evaluation and care. No one was seriously injured, deputies said.
