If they can't answer that question, then everything else they're saying is BS." Rivera, a longtime friend of Trump's who later broke with him, wasn't finished. Describing the party's refusal to break from the pack, he stumbled over his own words trying to capture it: "I just think that when the groupthink... it's like they've all had a-" before catching himself and adding, "And I'm a Republican!" The conversation started because Trump was busy bragging about his "7-0" sweep in Arizona's primaries, celebrating what he called a "BIG NIGHT FOR MAGA." But commentator Tara Setmayer pointed out what that sweep actually represents: "Donald Trump is coming for our elections in the midterms and setting it up for 2028. We know this. He's telegraphing it." She added that several of his endorsed candidates don't believe in free and fair elections and are still relitigating 2020 conspiracy theories. That's the real story behind the celebration. It isn't just that Trump won a primary. It's that the candidates he's installing across the country are united by a single litmus test that has nothing to do with policy: whether they'll repeat his lie about 2020. Even a Republican, someone who has known Trump personally for years, is now saying the whole party has been forced into dishonesty just to stay in his good graces. When your own side starts saying "everything else they're saying is BS," that's not partisan noise. That's a warning.
