Türkiye grants Freedom Yatırım first foreign broker license
Freedom Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., a subsidiary of Freedom Holding Corp., has received Türkiye’s Capital Markets Board license, becoming the first broadly authorized foreign brokerage to be licensed in Türkiye since 1992. The milestone supports Freedom Holding’s strategy to expand its international brokerage footprint, with Freedom Yatırım leveraging TraderNet and the group’s infrastructure to connect Turkish and global capital markets, and it has already completed integration with Borsa İstanbul. Freedom Holding, which operates 200-plus offices across more than 20 countries, reported about $14 billion in total assets as of June 30, 2026, with brokerage comprising roughly 39% of net revenue. The company aims to broaden access to international markets for Turkish investors as part of its broader expansion in Türkiye. This move positions Freedom Yatırım to extend the Group’s international brokerage network and customer-base, potentially linking Türkiye’s market more closely with global opportunities.
