Dodgers not being sold, Kasten says
Dodgers president Stan Kasten reiterated that Mark Walter will not sell the Dodgers, despite Walter selling the Lakers and facing federal investigations into TWG Global. He stressed there is no sale process for the Dodgers and that the franchise remains stable, well-managed, and focused on winning. Kasten also said Walter intends to keep the Dodgers and his broader sports portfolio intact, including other holdings like the PWHL and motorsports. Reports have linked Walter to talks to sell Chelsea FC, but Kasten said these matters are not connected to the Dodgers. The investigations involve Walter’s companies and include possible loan fraud probes by the SDNY and SEC, though Dodgers finances are described as capable of sustaining operations. The Lakers’ sale and Chelsea talks are described as a separate “Lakers story,” not a Dodgers issue, according to Kasten.
