AEW&C Mk-II contracts signed with AIESL, Adani Defence

DRDO’s Centre for Air Borne Systems signed two contracts with AI Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) and Adani Defence Systems & Technologies (ADSTL) to advance the AEW&C Mk-II programme: AIESL will convert six Airbus A321 aircraft to green configuration, while ADSTL will act as Development Cum Production Partner for the mission systems, with integration and flight testing to be conducted with the Indian Air Force. The moves bolster indigenous defence manufacturing and enhance longer endurance, airborne surveillance, secure communications, and overall command-and-control capabilities for India’s air defence.
