Raytheon Wins $22.9B Tomahawk Contract
Raytheon, an RTX unit, won a $22.9B seven-year contract to accelerate Tomahawk cruise missile production for the U.S. Navy under the Arsenal of Freedom program. The award supports ramping annual Tomahawk output to more than 1,000 missiles and related support. RTX says it will invest in its workforce, facilities, and supply chain to meet surging demand and scale output with hundreds of suppliers. The contract follows February framework agreements that also cover increased AMRAAM and other missiles, and reflects a broader effort to stabilize munitions production. DoD and Navy officials say the move strengthens the munitions industrial base, readiness, and deterrence, and accelerates delivery to joint forces. RTX had previously produced roughly 60 Tomahawks per year, illustrating the scale of the planned ramp.
