Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Atomic Monster have unveiled the first trailer for Other Mommy, a horror thriller directed by Rob Savage and based on Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House. Jessica Chastain stars in a dual role as Bela’s mother and the malevolent entity she calls “Other Mommy,” as the young girl is haunted by a sinister presence in her home. The cast also features Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen, with production overseeing by James Wan. The film, produced by Wan and scheduled for a theatrical release, centers on Bela's increasingly threatening relationship with the uncanny mother-figure. Other Mommy is described as a dark, frightening journey into the psyche of a child affected by a supernatural threat. The movie is set to hit theaters on October 9, with the trailer circulating in cinemas ahead of the release.
