Lens win first-ever French Super Cup against PSG

RC Lens upset Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 to win the French Super Cup, their first in club history. Florian Thauvin scored the only goal in the 32nd minute, finishing after a cross-shot from Matthieu Udol. Lens were reduced to 10 men when Kyllian Antonio was sent off in the 39th minute, but they held firm. PSG also finished with 10 men late as Nuno Mendes was sent off in the 87th minute, too late to change the result. The win came in Lens's first match under new coach Dino Toppmoeller, following their French Cup triumph. PSG, fresh from winning the UEFA Super Cup, will now redirect focus to Ligue 1 with a depleted side.
