Jake Lang arrested amid Minneapolis protest
Far-right activist Jake Lang was arrested on probable cause riot in Minneapolis after two vehicles he traveled with drove onto the sidewalk toward people gathered outside City Hall during a rally, with authorities detaining all occupants and impounding both vehicles. The incident sparked counter-protests and additional arrests as police moved to separate opposing groups, with reports of injuries to three officers and a civilian. Lang had previously been involved in Jan. 6 activities and, per authorities, was pardoned by the current president in January 2025, after which he remained active in conservative circles. Police tracked the vehicles after they left the area, coordinating stops with state patrol and Bloomington police, and several more arrests were reported near City Hall. The incident occurred amid ongoing demonstrations and heightened tensions between supporters and counter-protesters in downtown Minneapolis.
