I Synergy, Macau Direch pursue global digital economy
I Synergy Group signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Macau Direch Investment Technology to explore a broad range of digital economy ventures, including artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital financial assets, real-world asset tokenisation, AI and GPU infrastructure, digital certification technologies, and cross-border initiatives, with a potential Digital Financial Assets Exchange in Macau as a central aim. The partnership seeks to expand I Synergy's digital asset infrastructure and cross-border settlement capabilities and to leverage Macau's status as an emerging hub for digital finance and asset innovation, while any future deals would require definitive agreements and regulatory approvals. The MoU aligns with the company’s shift from its affiliate marketing origins toward emerging technologies and international diversification. In parallel, I Synergy announced a board leadership transition: Anson Heng becomes Executive Chairman and Managing Director, and Dato' Lawrence Teo moves to Founder and Non-Executive Deputy Chairman, to better align governance with the company’s growth and strategic partnerships. The leadership changes support the Macau collaboration and broader strategic cooperation, including the announced framework for a Digital Financial Assets Exchange in Macau, which would entail navigating regulatory, custody, and infrastructure considerations. Looking ahead, the company emphasizes that any substantive arrangements will proceed only under definitive agreements and applicable regulatory approvals as it pursues growth and international expansion.
