Equinor, Uniper Sign 15-Year Gas Deal for Germany

Equinor and Uniper have sealed a 15-year agreement to supply Germany with more than 30 terawatt-hours of natural gas annually, roughly 2.8 billion cubic meters, beginning January 1, 2027 and ending December 31, 2041. The deal, conducted through existing pipelines, sets market-based pricing and leaves other commercial terms confidential. The arrangement reinforces Germany’s long-term gas security and deepens the collaboration between Norway’s Equinor and Uniper, a major European gas wholesaler.
