Bavarian Nordic Q2 Revenue Surges, 2026 Outlook Upgraded
Bavarian Nordic reported Q2 2026 revenue of 2.03 billion Danish kroner, up about 23% year over year, with EBITDA of 925 million and net profit of 731.6 million. The first half featured record Travel Health revenue and strong demand for rabies vaccines, with the chikungunya vaccine gaining traction in Europe and Public Preparedness contracts improving revenue visibility. The company raised its full-year 2026 guidance to about 5.7 billion kroner in revenue and around a 30% EBITDA margin, with Public Preparedness contributing roughly 2.5 billion kroner. EBITDA margin improved to around 30% and operating margin near 37% as profitability strengthened. Bavarian Nordic also announced a new share buy-back program of up to 750 million kroner and said it would terminate its revolving credit facility. The outlook for Vimkunya was trimmed to 200 million kroner due to weaker US sales, reflecting a balancing act as the company raises overall guidance.
