To reset your Facebook password, visit facebook.com and click "Forgotten password?" on the login page. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account. Facebook will send you a link or code to verify your identity. Click the reset link in the email or enter the code, then create a new password (at least 6 characters, combining letters and numbers for security). Confirm the new password and you'll be logged back in.
If you can't access your email or phone number, use the "No longer have access to these?" option. Facebook may ask security questions or request a photo ID to verify your identity. You can also reset your password from a mobile device using the Facebook app by tapping the menu, selecting "Settings & Privacy," then "Settings," and finding "Password" in the Security section.
For extra security, enable two-factor authentication after resetting your password. This adds a second verification step (usually a code sent to your phone) when logging in from new devices. After successfully resetting your password, review your active sessions under "Where you're logged in" to sign out of any unrecognized devices. If you suspect your account was compromised, change passwords for other accounts that share similar credentials, and consider running a security check on your computer.
