Glen Powell will star as Yankee great Lou Gehrig in an untitled Universal biopic directed by Richard Linklater, with Lorne Michaels producing and Simon Rich writing. Powell will also produce with Dan Cohen, continuing a collaborative run between Powell and Linklater that spans multiple projects and adds another biodrama to Linklater’s repertoire about Gehrig’s storied career and ALS-era fate.
