Lawmakers say lack of centralized records and weak oversight have obscured the whereabouts and use of assets such as cash, property, shares, and vehicles, and reference the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery and Management) Act 2022 and constitutional provisions to justify enhanced transparency and accountability.
