Shelters and rescue groups across the Midwest and Southwest are promoting discounted or special adoption events to move pets into homes, including Happily Ever After’s Hour of Love cuddle event in Green Bay, and the Humane Society of North Texas Mega Adoption Event in Fort Worth. Additional communities are extending the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters campaigns with reduced fees to clear cages, from Winnebago County in Rockford to the Metro East shelters near Belleville and Edwardsville.
