Minnesota Sues Texas in Federal Castro Extradition Case
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty will announce a lawsuit at 11:15 a.m. today to press the extradition of ICE agent Christian Castro, who is in Texas jail on a $200,000 bond tied to charges arising from a January Minneapolis shooting during Operation Metro Surge. The move has been repeatedly pursued by Moriarty and follows calls from Minnesota officials to return Castro to the state to face four counts of second-degree assault and related charges.
